A Civilization Devouring Its Children

I want to tell everyone what they took from us, what irreversible really means, and what that reality looks like for us. No one told me any of what I’m going to tell you now.

So says Ritchie Herron, a troubled young man who underwent sex reassignment surgery at the hands of Britain’s National Health Service.

A mania is sweeping the developed world, one that is spreading as fast as the witch-hunting mania of the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries, one that is no less pernicious, and no less impervious to facts and evidence. There is no satisfactory agreed-upon name for this mania, although it has been referred to as sex change, sex reassignment, sex confirmation, and most recently by the grotesquely mendacious moniker of “gender-affirming care.”

Daily, hourly, as I write these words, some of the most confused and vulnerable members of our society – including children – are suffering irremediable harms in the name of an ideology which not only lacks any kind of credible evidence base, it also lacks a semblance of internal coherency, substituting instead a fog of semantic obfuscation.

In the blink of an eye, historically speaking, the transgender narrative has become embedded in the minds of the public – including many otherwise skeptical, scientifically-minded people – so much so that it is necessary to go back to the beginning and re-examine the whole enterprise with fresh eyes, from its origin as the obsession of a tiny fringe subculture to its present-day status as a major industry.

It’s make-or-break time. For the last twenty years I have been building the skill set to write this book.

Last year I signed an agreement with a literary agent for this book. Then the agent ghosted me, without any explanation at all. All he did for me was waste four months of my time.

I can’t quit now. That would be like going on a thousand-mile journey and giving up in the last hundred yards. I’ve gone the self-publishing route.
