The Gray Lady Re-Writes History (Again)
A recent hit piece in the New York Times on Governor and presidential candidate Ron DeSantis highlights the ongoing mendacity of our drug-company-funded media regarding the covid shots.
Mr. DeSantis claimed Wednesday, as he has previously, that federal authorities misled people into believing that the vaccines prevented infection. In fact, shots were authorized based on evidence that they reduced risks of severe disease and death, not infection.
Even if that were true, what they are talking about are not even "vaccines" as the word has been understood to mean for the past more than a century. What they are talking about are, at most, therapeutics which must be administered in advance of the infection, with a limited window of efficacy, and a terrible side effects profile. How could we even think about mandating the use of such products?
And it’s not even true. FDA authorized the shots for emergency use based on Pfizer's and Moderna's data purportedly showing the shot reduces the relative risk of covid infections by approximately ninety-five percent. Here’s the language copied and pasted from the FDA press release:
The vaccine was 95% effective in preventing COVID-19 disease among these clinical trial participants with eight COVID-19 cases in the vaccine group and 162 in the placebo group.
And here’s the comparable language from the press release for the Moderna vax:
The vaccine was 94.1% effective in preventing COVID-19 disease among these clinical trial participants with 11 cases of COVID-19 in the vaccine group and 185 in the placebo group.
BTW, this “ninety-five percent” reduction in risk translated into a one in 141 reduction in absolute risk of infection (or one in 161, in the case of the Moderna product). So that means that out of 141 patients (or more) who got the shot, only one benefitted, but all were exposed to the toxic spike protein.
And how did they come up with the figure of approximately ninety-five percent? We now know the shot CAUSES covid infection in the first 1-2 weeks after administration. These cases were not counted, nor were any cases in the four weeks after the first dose of the Pfizer shot, or the first six weeks after the first dose of the Moderna product -- although they never explained why these cases should not matter to the patient. Then they stopped counting an average of two months after that. That's why we didn't know about the rapidly waning efficacy of these products in preventing covid infection -- efficacy that drops to NEGATIVE NUMBERS five months after the third dose of the Moderna shot.
That's how they came up with that ridiculous overestimate of "ninety-five percent efficacy."
And when you plug into your models wildly exaggerated estimates of efficacy, and wildly exaggerated estimates of the deadliness of covid, that's how you get this ridiculous factoid that the shot "saved millions of lives." You have to admit, that's a pretty neat trick for products which, in the manufacturer's own trials, had more deaths in the treatment arm.
These people are lying to us.
